Moved to Seattle in '95 to make theater. Founded Printer's Devil Theatre with Kip Fagan, Heidi Schreck, Paul Willis and Jenn Creegan. Did some acting. Got into Theater Photography. Got Married. Had Kids. Both Audrey [Freudenberg (Annex & Schmeater) ] & I stepped away from the acting game to focus on raising a family. But, we're now empty nesters, and so I'm sticking a toe back into it all with this audition.

I hold a Master of Fine Arts Degree in Film & Video production with a focus on Cinematography and have worked in the motion picture/digital cinema field for 20 years.
Through The Studio Seattle, I have trained with Director Andrew Tsao and actor Aaron Blakely focusing on techniques based in the Uta Hagen and Konstantin Stanislavski methods.
Living in several regions of the USA, and traveling the world, has given me insights into the daily lives of people far from Seattle and provides an interesting perspective on the nuances of each region. As an avid runner, hiker and kayaker, I have had the pleasure of exploring hard-to-access locations and seeing some of the wonders of the ancient world. However, when the Seattle rain falls, I love curling up with my dogs and playing video games with my husband.

In addition to Elise’s love of performing, she is insistent that the theater should accurately reflect the authentic diversity seen in humanity. Receiving brain tumor removal surgery at the age of twelve, Elise works to increase the inclusion of actors of all abilities in the theater. She has performed alongside other actors with disabilities and has made unforgettable friendships with child performers through her work at the Variety Theater in Saint Louis.
When not on stage, Elise spends her time reading, cooking and playing 7 Wonders with family.

Betzabeth Gonzalez is an Acting MFA Candidate at the University of Washington's School of Drama. Born and raised in Connecticut, the Pacific Northwest is a brand-new experience for her, and she is enjoying every second of Seattle's invigorating and inspiring theater scene. Currently, Betzabeth is in rehearsal for her role as Becky in Kate Hamill's adaptation of Vanity Fair as part of UW's mainstage season. Although she is only in her first year, Betzabeth already senses tremendous growth and is excited about what the future holds. Back in her home state, she taught improv at Housatonic Community College to Capital Prep high schoolers and believes teaching will continue to be in her future. Her most recent credits include the world-premiere of Calling Puerto Rico (Debra) with Pa'Lante Theatre Company; the Playhouse Mobile Unit's tour of Scaredy Kat with Westport Country Playhouse (Kathryn); A Christmas Carol (Belle & others) with Legacy Theatre, An Evening of Old Time Radio Theatre, Halloween Horror with Capital Classics Theatre Company; Stage Partner’s immersive theater experience Off The Trail ( Leonard the Leaf Dragon/ Sqwuak); Sound of Music (Maria) with Fairfield Center Stage; and Skeleton Crew (Shanita) with Collective Consciousness Theater.
I am an actor/improviser based in Seattle and am currently pursuing my MFA in acting at the University of Washington.
Originally from British Columbia, I stumbled into the world of theatre when, eager to break the monotony of my corporate job, I impulsively signed up for improv classes. I have since embodied a little star journeying across space in a devised touring musical, played a jaded detective in a scripted noir, and even flexed freestyle hip-hop skills in an entirely improvised narrative play.
As a creative, I’m passionate about transformative storytelling in all forms and its power to carry people along on wondrous journeys and discoveries of self. I’m excited about ensemble-based artmaking and am eager to explore the what, how, and why behind a story being told. I’m also passionate about representation on stage and am eager to bring exciting and surprising art to audiences and communities who need it.
Recent credits include Taproot Theatre's touring play, Hark the Harold, Centerstage Theatre's Ghost Train, and Dacha Theatre’s Star Play. Additionally, I’m proud to be an ensemble member and teaching artist at Jet City Improv and a company member with Dacha Theatre!
In my free time, I enjoy rock climbing, cheering on the Huskies, and reminding everyone that I am Canadian.

Hi!
My name is Katrina, and I'm a Seattle native who just spent a decade in NYC and London. I'm excited to come back home! I'm a huge fan of Shakespeare and new work, and as an actor and a writer, I can't wait to dive back into the Seattle art scene. I also study Russian language (I'm pretty good) and dance as often as I can (in a joyful but perhaps not pretty way.)

Kaira's philosophy about theatre, and storytelling in general, is that it acts as a gateway for people to learn about, and better understand their fellow humans, fostering empathy and understanding in the world around us. And it's just plain fun!
She is always looking to expand her skills and experiences, and would love to hear from you!
Please feel free to reach out through this wonderful TPS process, or directly through her website at www.kairahensler.com

Cheers – and thanks for watching my submission 🙂

I've been in Seattle for about seven years and I'm really glad to be part of this great theatre community out here. Before moving to Seattle, I lived in Chicago where I spent a good 10 years as an actor working at companies all over the city in all kinds of work. That experience truly felt like my unofficial "grad school" and I truly learned so much. Thank you for watching my audition!
