Katie Peabody is an actor from Seattle living in Los Angeles and Seattle. She is passionate about telling stories that explore and deepen the human experience. Katie is represented by The Actors Group in the Pacific Northwest.
This winter, Katie performed in THE HUMANS as Brigid Blake at the Coachella Valley Repertory, directed by Adam Karsten. Katie’s other select theater performances include: EVERYONE AGREES IT’S ABOUT TO EXPLODE, LEAR’S SHADOW, AWAKE, IN ANOTHER ROOM (Los Angeles run and Overlook Film Festival run), THE GAME (Overlook Film Festival, 2019), A PIECE OF MY HEART, SHAKESPEARE’S SONNETS, DELUSION, and ROSE QUEEN. She performs regularly with E3W Productions, Ensemble Shakespeare Company and the Harvest Theater Company, and regularly works with renowned playwright Velina Hasu Houston. Katie is interested in working on collaborative, immersive, and devised work as well as scripted material.
Katie has appeared in the feature films, LEAR’S SHADOW, EMINENCE HILL, STRAIGHT ON TILL MORNING, KRAMPUS: ORIGINS, SAPPHIRE KINGSHIT, the album videos, BLUE ROOM, DIZZY AND EVERMORE, the short films, WATERMARK, ANNIVERSARY, SEE YOU LATER, THE LAKE, NATURAL DISASTERS, EVERYONE AGREES, ISOLATION, and others. For Katie's performance in WATERMARK, with AFI, she was awarded Best Actress by the Borrego Springs Film Festival and the Alternative Film Festival, and was nominated for Best Actress in a Feature/Featurette at the Southern States Indie Fan Film Festival, Best Actress from the Rendezvous Film Festival and Best Actor from the Swindon Independent Film Festival. Katie’s performance work has been screened at over 50 film festivals around the world.
Katie also works as a film producer and has associate produced the films PRISONERS OF THE GHOSTLAND, GIFT OF FIRE and PATH OF DREAMS, as well as produced and associate produced content for ABC (episodes of the Emmy Award winning TV show, ROCK THE PARK), Sony Pictures (behind-the-scenes content for COWBOY BEBOP), NHK Japan (a documentary on Martin Scorsese’s making-of SILENCE), as well as numerous music videos and advertising campaigns.
Katie attended the University of Southern California where she graduated from the School of Dramatic Arts with a Bachelor’s Degree in Acting. At USC, Katie was awarded the school’s two most reputable acting awards. She was the female recipient of the James and Nancy Doolittle Award for Best Cumulative Theatrical Work, a faculty chosen scholarship awarded to the acting student whose work over their four years at USC shows the greatest artistic accomplishment. Katie was also awarded the Ruth and Albert McKinlay Award for the faculty selected Outstanding Performer of the Year.
