As a first generation American, Lydia Mushkatina was raised by stories and anecdotes. Integral to her culture, and now her, she believes the ultimate connector of people is storytelling, and finds power in various artistic mediums, including theatre. Approaching every role as an opportunity to grow, she has been see in roles such as Captain Hook, Irena Synkova, and now Creon in ACT's YCC production of Antigone's - she is unafraid to break boundaries and explore the human essence in a variety of different roles. Along with studying piano and voice privately for the past 6 years, and studying acting privately for the past 3, she spent this past summer at Carnegie Mellon's Precollege Drama Acting program, exploring many areas of acting including Shakespeare with Donald Wadsworth, Acting with Ausar Stewart, and Voice and Speech with Gary Logan. She looks forward to participating in productions that make an impact.
