A Seattle transplant by way of Austin, Texas, Gretchen is a queer lesbian actor, writer and standup comedian that has performed all over the PNW. She is a graduate of The University of Washington Professional Actor Training Program. Select UW credits include: The Importance of Being Ernest (Algernon Moncrieff), Rosmersholm (Rebecca West), Bull in a China Shop (Marks). Other professional credits include: Cassius in Julius Caesar (Seattle Shakespeare), Tybalt in Romeo and Juliet (Seattle Shakespeare), Audrey in Little Shop of Horrors (Backstage Theatre), Alma Winemiller in Summer and Smoke (The Classics Theatre Project), Varya in the Cherry Orchard (TCTP), Octavia in Antony and Cleopatra (Oklahoma Shakespeare in the Park), among others. She can be seen at comedy clubs across the state including Tacoma Comedy Club, Club Comedy Seattle, Nate Jackson's Super Funny Comedy Club, Laughs Comedy Club, and other independent shows. She was an alternate for the Seattle International Comedy Competition (2022), a semi-finalist in the Funniest MF Competition at Nate Jackson's (2022), the opening comedian for the 2022 Mr./Mrs. Gay Washington Pageant, and a selected performer for the "Kenan Thompson Presents: A Comedy Showcase and Contest" in the state of Washington.
