Tatyana Emery (they/them) is an actor, educator and playwright on the traditional land of the Coast Salish and Duwamish people. A graduate of Tufts University with a major in Performance Studies, Education and a minor in Gender & Sexuality studies. Their work revolves around the intersection of performance and community, situating the experiences of the global majority, of gender expansive people as central to a liberatory theatre practice. Since 2022, Tatyana has been working in school communities through organizations such as the Seattle Repertory Theatre and the Seattle Children's Theatre. As of 2023, they gleefully serve as School Programs Manager at Seattle Shakespeare Company with an interest in connecting Washington state schools to diverse and engaging classical theatre education.
