I am a music educator passionate about sharing the joy of music and theater to all! I enjoy singing in cabarets for seniors, performing in an Andrews Sisters inspired trio, the Seattle Symphony Chorale, singing in church, and teaching choir. I especially love jazz music and have been booking gigs with other jazz musicians around the Seattle area. At times I have used guitar and ukulele to accompany my singing on some gigs as well as busking, and have more recently picked up accordion. In the past, swing and salsa dancing have been favorite hobbies of mine! Clearly as an enjoyer of the all things art, I love fashion, painting, and crafting in my downtime as well.

Evan Ponyah is a multi-hyphenated performer. An indeginous actor, director, usher and vocal director, Evan tries to find ways to not only blend his identity with craft, but to find ways to break away from what might be conventionally expected of them. He believes that music is something innate in all people and feels that theatre should be giving to the community, from the smallest of monologues to the largest pieces of opera, the arts are meant for healing and improving the lives of those who bear witness to creativity manifested. Evan Ponyah is a graduate of the prestigous UW Drama program, hoping to enter their graduate level program when the time comes.

My acting journey began in college, but theatrical & musical performance was around me for my whole life. My mom, who performed in many musicals and straight plays when I was a child, never failed to bring the theatrics into our house. My dad is a piano improvisation master that constantly rehearsed with the band he is right in our home when I was growing up. I do also play the piano but was too stubborn to learn how to read from either of my experienced parents. I love to dance and sing and I'm very competitive, especially when it comes to sports. Soccer was my main deal for 21 years; I received a scholarship to play soccer at WWU. My first acting class at Western sparked a new passion and I’m determined to enjoy and pursue it.
