Since graduating from Interlochen arts academy’s musical theatre program I’ve had the privilege of working professionally in Chicago, Michigan, and Seattle. My greatest achievements in my craft have all centered around the fact that, for the most part, I am the first transgender woman to reimagine iconic roles on a professional level. These are opportunities for me to share with audiences a new perspective on just how authenticity within a role can truly come in any form. I hope to be a reminder to anyone who thought because they didn’t fit what they saw on broadway or tv that they would never work, that those days are behind us.

Vocal major, theater minor in college. Particularly interested in any musicals that require singer/instrumentalists. Currently an elementary music teacher who acts and sings on the side, but looking to go more part-time with teaching and shift more into professional music and theater. I have two residences – one in Olympia and one with my aunt and uncle in Shoreline, so available to be within 50 miles of Seattle.

My name is Teddy Meyer. I've grown up in theatre quite literally my entire life. My parents met in a film actors studio so as soon as I was born I was always on stage. I like to say I started off as The Baby Jesus in a nativity scene and I've just never gotten off the stage since. For college I attended Western Oregon University and Cornish College of the Arts for theatre. Cornish was where I fell in love with Seattle. Over the course of my adult life I've mostly been directing but have recently made the return to stage as an actor and I couldn't be happier about it! When I'm not involved in the theatre in some form or another I like to spend time with my partner and cuddling my two cats.
