Puget Sound Revels
UGAs - General Auditions
Puget Sound Revels produces a holiday program, The Midwinter Revels, each December at the Rialto Theater in downtown Tacoma. We write or adapt a new Revels show in a different time, place, and honor different cultures. Our stage director, Michelle Matlock, is writing this year's show, Legacy of Unity: A Celebration of Seneca Village. Show dates are Dec. 14,15,17 & 18.
This year we are casting BIPOC actor/singers.
In the early 19th century, against New York City's bustling backdrop, Seneca Village
emerged. Founded by free African Americans (some formerly enslaved), it thrived as a
haven where dreams took root. Indigenous people, African Americans, Irish, and
German immigrants sought refuge from discrimination, forming a unique mixture in the
rural oasis of Seneca Village, within what is now Central Park. Pioneers in defying
societal norms, they established homes, businesses, and churches.

The Bypass Theater Company is a new organization based in Seattle looking for actors with classical training for our 2024-2025 season. In 2024 will be producing Shakespeare's Henry IV pt 1 at Stage 4 at TPS and Alice in Wonderland in October/November (location TBA). In addition to these shows we are looking for a core group of actors that Bypass can develop projects for going into the future.
Our mission is to take well known/classical stories and make them more accessible to modern audience in new and inventive ways. We also are planning to stage four shows in 2025 in Seattle and one in Los Angeles. We are looking for actors for a core company that we can work with for 2024 and beyond. Gas stipend ($150, possibly more) for both Seattle based shows. We will also be holding callbacks on Tuesday (2/27) 6-8pm (At TPS) and Thursday (2/29) 6-8pm (At the Freehold Theater). We also will be conducting additional auditions/interviews via zoom if needed.
For Henry IV we are looking for 4-5 actors to play multiple roles in a fast paced, fun and experimental version of play. We will be doing non traditional casting and gender bending in order to create something new and fresh, as well as create new opportunities with non-traditional casting.
